Fault Finder Fault Number: 24 Fault Display: Decel Inhibit Fault Name: Decel Inhibit Fault Type: 3 - User Configurable Fault Description: The drive is not following a commanded acceleration or deceleration because it is attempting to limit bus voltage. Corrective Action: This is a common fault that can be turned off through [Fault Config 1], bit 6. Default is turned on.
This fault was implemented to let customers know the motor was not following the acceleration or deceleration ramp due to bus regulation which is enabled by default. In most circumstances, this fault can be safely turned off. This fault can occur during normal running, accel, or even during autotune. After turning this fault off, you may see another fault which is causing the load not to change speed properly. There are also the possibility of a rare occasion happening where the drive does not turn off the bus regulation completely. You can make sure regulation is turned off completely by changing parameters 161 [Bus Reg Mode A] and 162 [Bus Reg Mode B]. You can then troubleshoot any further fault accordingly.
